Let it Snow!

It's Sharon this week and I chose snowflakes. Not that I am craving winter or anything crazy like that. But I just love snowflakes and make most of my Christmas cards with something snowflake related.

I played around with PTI's Snowflake Flurries in a bunch of different colour combos.

I can't wait to see all the snowflake creations this week and be sure to see what kind of snowstorm the other Party-Ers have whipped up!

Ombre!!

It's me, Sharon, this week issuing the challenge. I chose ombre! I think I just like saying the word. I love the idea of a gradation of colour from dark to light.

I did something a bit different with it so I wanted to show you an in progress photo. First I coloured stripes of colour from dark to light on water colour paper.

Then I embossed my sentiment in silver on vellum and layered that over top of the ombre for a really subtle effect. I pinned the layers inside an embossed polaroid frame and added a few confetti stars in silver to finish it off. Love it!

I hope you play around with ombre this week and link up below, and be sure to check out what the other Party-Ers did!

On trend - Chevrons

Hello everyone!  It's my week to set the challenge here at our Crazy Card Party!  I've asked everyone to use chevrons on their project.  We certainly see chevrons everywhere these days.. not just in scrapbooking.

Here's my card...
When I originally chose this paper I was planning to coordinate with the mint green stripe.  But I just can't stay away from the grey and pink colour combo.  I really love it!  And you can't tell from the picture but I used my new Wink of Stella glitter pen (aka Wink-a-doodle) on the wooden heart.

Please join our party this week and link up your chevron project.

Use Cork Challenge

It's Sharon here and since you all know I am an old wino I thought I would choose cork as the theme this week. I die cut my sentiment out of cork. I love how it contrasts with the flowers and compliments the kraft!
